Reading "Dirt on Organics"

Big Idea: What does food tell us about ourselves.

Learning Target: How should we "eat responsibly"?

Reading: You will read your independent reading book for ten minutes. You should finish your next book by February 18th.





Agenda:

  1. Work on vocabulary for 5 minutes.
  2. Break into groups of two or three.
    1. Read a section of the article.
    2. Discuss and fill in the chart for that section of the article.
    3. Underline important facts that help you decide of organic food is worth the price.
  3. Create a T-chart using the white boards to record the positives and negatives of organic food.

Success Criteria:

I can understand an article by reading it closely with a group.
