Big Idea: The American Dream: what is it all for?

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes. Your next book review will be on May 17th.

Agenda:

1. Fill out the reading progress form.
2. You will lead the class in an activity.
1. I will assign your groups and you will choose a date and a chapter.
2. Each group is responsible for teaching a lesson to the class based on that chapter.
3. You must fill out a lesson plan for the activity you present to the class.
3. Today, I will lead the first activity: Booksnaps. I created this lesson plan.
1. Booksnaps have three things:
1. a picture of a page of the book
2. emojis, icons, etc.
3. text box
   
2. Watch one of the videos below on how to create a book snap. Each one is about a different tool.
1. Booksnaps with Google Slides
2. Booksnaps with Snapchat
3. Booksnaps with Google Drawings
3. I will assign each one of you a character to focus on.
1. Jordan, Tom, or Daisy.
2. Find a page with an important quote about this person.
3. Create your booksnap.
