The Pleasures of Eating Discussion

Learning Target: How should we "eat responsibly"?

Reading: You will read your independent reading book for ten minutes. You should finish your next book by November 30th.


Agenda:

  1. Go to the library and get books for this month. You should finish your book by February 18th.
  2. Today I will introduce you to the TQE process. It is a helpful procedure for having thoughtful class discussions. You will be graded based on how much you talk.
  3. Before you have a class discussion you must come prepared with your own Thoughts, Questions, and Epiphanies. We will break the article into chunks. We will annotate the first part together. The article takes about 17 minutes to read.

  2. Read another article from Newsela and write a summary. Remember you need to read five articles by Friday.
  3. Open the "Reflecting on My Food Choices" doc in Google Classroom. Complete the document by the end of the period.
  4. Fill out this Google Form. What are your food habits?
