Act IV: Acting Groups

Essential Question: Could any of the characters have done more to end the hysteria in Salem?

Goal: to identify passages that have to do with fear and the pressure to confess

Reading: Make sure you are reading at home

Agenda:

1. Read Act IV of The Crucible. We will be in acting groups for this final act.

Your group must also tell the class which lines show how people are dealing with fear, the pressure to confess, or how they could have stopped the hysteria.

Homework:

1.  Work on your vocabulary.
2.  Finish your book by Friday.
