Big Idea: What does food tell us about ourselves and how we treat our planet?

Reading: Today we will read for 10 minutes. Your first book review will be on February 8th.

Agenda:

1. Today I will introduce you to the TQE process. It is a helpful procedure for having thoughtful class discussions. You will be graded based on how much you talk.
1. Before you have a class discussion you must come prepared with your own Thoughts, Questions, and Epiphanies. We will break the article into chunks. We will annotate the first part together. The article takes about 17 minutes to read.
2. You will have a chance to discuss your findings with another student in the class.
   

Success Criteria:

1. I can identify what the author left for me to discover.

Homework:

1. Make sure you are reading your book at home. Your first book review will be on February 8th.
2. You should be working on your vocabulary.
